Stakeholder engagement

In order to develop effective management measures and realistic implementation scenarios, the involvement of stakeholders in processes and decisions is an elementary part of the project.

The scientists cooperate closely with representatives from the fields of fisheries, politics, administration, offshore wind energy and nature conservation. These provide valuable, vast experience, have an eye for what is feasible, and critically weigh the strengths and weaknesses of proposed solutions against each other.

Through active exchange, including regular meetings and stakeholder workshops, scientific results are compared with practical experience and needs. In a lively dialogue, solutions can be developed that increase the adaptability of the actors involved to changing environmental conditions and guarantee the long-term stability of the socio-ecological system of the North Sea.
