Andreas Kannen becomes Germany's ICES representative

The Hereon scientist and leader of work package 3 is pleased about the recognition of his work and is looking forward to his new international honorary assignment.

Andreas Kannen, geographer, coastal researcher and deputy head of department at the Helmholtz Center Hereon, was appointed at the end of February as Germany's representative on the Science Committee of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). At ICES he aims to build bridges, acting as link between national and international research around the typical topics.
